This beautiful palace is also known as “Zenana” or Chamber of woman. It was built by Maharaja Sawai Pratap singh in the city centre of Old Jaipur. The window’s of this palace designed in Lattice Work were meant to act like veils; a “Purdah” for the royal woman because of hindu custom dictated that royal woman wouldn’t be seen by the public.
